Some of my favorite memories around the holidays are spent in the kitchen. Our aprons are covered in flour, the tunes are one, and the wine is flowing. Baking Christmas cookies with my step mom was one of my top weekends each year, as we got to bond over the smell of delicious cookies baking in the oven.
Honestly, we would bake maybe 30+ dozens of cookies in one day – biscottis, cookie bars, thumbprints, you name it. I loved pulling out my giant box of cookie cutters for meticulously decorating each gingerbread cookie. Alternatively, I’d whip out my cookie press to make a hundred spritz cookies in a flash. It’s all about balance, my friends.
Cookie baking weekends are one of the things I miss most about the holiday season when I am traveling abroad. It’s been a struggle for me to find the right kitchens and ingredients as we have been traveling, so there has been little to no baking happening at all.
Therefore, I am sharing all these delicious cookie recipes in the hopes that YOU will bake some and send me photos of you having fun with your holiday cookie baking. This would bring me so much joy this holiday season. Plus, these recipes are mad delicious, so you won’t be sorry for completing my challenge to you.
